A Step Back In Time

Just got back from a weekend getaway in Ojai, CA. This was my first trip to Ojai and I'm ready to go back and explore more. We stayed in a home built in 1905 and the owners have kept the integrity of that era throughout the property (minus the flat screen). If you want to really get away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place to do it. It's secluded, and quiet, but town is only a 10 minute drive away. It almost felt as if we'd stepped onto the set of How to Make an American Quilt. My only recommendation would be to go when it's a bit cooler, due to the lack of A/C. I've included the photos we took, but here is the website for more information.

The view from the front porch was amazing...

I was obsessed with the stove...

...and this rug.

Dessert the last night there. This is the perfect house for cooking peach blueberry crisp!

Sounds wonderful! I want to have breakfast, lunch and dinner on that dream patio... And cook more than a few desserts in that stove! Like to read your post for the fab images - this is Julie, our hubbies work together, looking forward to meeting you sometimes!
